leupold questions

What is the difference of in field, finger. and target knobs? I am guessing they are all 1/4 value. So I guess my question is does one have more travel that others. I know the height of the target knobs as that is what i have on my 6.5-20lr. Are the other two just normal hunting adjustments? Some insight please as i am by no means the sharpest tool in the shed.

thanks in advance

Thumbs up

Field knobs have caps and are adjusted with a screw driver or a coin.

Finger knobs are low and have caps but can be adjusted with your fingers
(Have knurled knobs) and some can be returned to zero with out looseing
your Point of aim.

Target knobs are tall and normaly dont have caps/covers but can be returned
to zero once the rifle is sighted in.

I hope this will help

I don't know about that. I tried dialing a VariX lll once that did not have turrets and it did not adjust properly and had to be re zeroed after dialing..

I've got a VXIII 4.5 - 14 x 40 LR. It has the finger adjustable knobs and returns to zero perfectly. The max I have had to dial it up is 8.5 moa. But no problems at all.

Stu.
