Jeff in TX, question about the E.X.O.T.I.C. USS rifle scope....
I was at a local gun show this weekend where they had an I.O.R. 4-14 FFP scope which really interested me for use on my upcoming 7mm Allen Mag.
I decided to check with SWFA and see what I could order one in for before I picked up the used scope.
Well, in doing so I saw the EXOTIC Ultimate Sniper Scope and was very curious. I searched the archives and found several posts by you about this scope and from yours and all th others I have read, it sounds like a very quality scope.
I really like what I hear about the clearity of the scope and the 105 moa of vertical adjustment also is a huge benefit.
I assume you have had more time to test your USS, do you still have a good impression of the scope?
Is it true that it rivals the NF in clarity and repeatability?
From all the good things I read on the scope I decided to order one in and see for myself but was just curious if your opinion has changed at all on this scope.
IT almost sounds to good to be true and we all know how that usually goes.
Just curious about your opinion as you have solid hands on experience instead of hearing it from a salesman.

The XOTIC scope is that good and then some . I have two Leuy Mark 4 scopes, one a fixed 10X and the other a fixed 16X. The XOTIC scope whips Leuy's very best glass in all categories hands down and cost about $350 to $400.00 less.
I wish I still had an IOR scope to compare the optics to. I used to be a huge fan of IOR, the support out of Val is extremely poor and I sold all of my IOR's. They're glass beat my MK 4's also. Great Reps and a good scope, but a long list of dissatisfied customers when it comes to getting it repaired and fixed through Val who heads IOR USA. I have the XOTIC mounted on my new left-handed DPMS .223. The farthest I've shot it at the range has been 400 yards. I did a 200-yard box test and scope tracks dead on.
Optics are unreal, some other users have said they are in line with S&B's and US Optics best which run 2 to 2 1/2 times the price.
While pig hunting last month, I took my Leuy MK 4 10X on the trip to compare light transmission between the two. With both set on 10X, I got almost 3 1/2 minutes of extra hunting with the XOTIC. With about two minutes before the leuy gave out, the XOTIC clarity and colors were brighter and head and shoulders above my MK 4 which were darkening and I was fighting the fading light.
I was at SWFA today talking briefly with Chris about a scope for another rifle project I'm working on. All of the feedback they've received on the XOTIC scope has been very positive. Not to mention they offer a 30-day no question money back guarantee on the XOTIC scope. So, you really can't go wrong trying one out. My only negative on the scope is the huge 56MM bell, I wish it was no bigger than 44mm.
If you really want the IOR scope, let me know and I'll get you in touch with Jim Maloney who sells them. Jim's a great friend and he usually has the best prices.
If you want to talk more about the scope, shoot me an email with your phone number and I'll give you a call.
Hope it helped
