I don't have the IOR you asked about, but I have same 4-14x50 Wildrose does and it is a heckuva scope. Brilliant optics, tracks good so far, and I like the big elevation turret. I think they got a bad rap from some of their older scopes.

They are both pretty health scopes! This isn't an easy decision. All honesty I don't know what I want. If leupold would get off their ass and produce a MOA reticle, I would give that serious consideration.

You know I wondered about that and did some reasearch. It turns out they were pressured into delivering one lot of the 3-18's that had a problem with the parallax adjustment because the lenses had come slightly over sized from shott. The customer insisted on shipping them as is and they did. As a result the parallax gets "stiff" if the rings are set too tight.

They had the exact same problem in the lot that my 6-24 came from to a lesser degree.

If you follow their torque specific recommendtions however it's no problem at all.

I love my mark 4's and VX-3's and to be honest for quality of glass they aren't in the same league with the IOR's, especially when you get to the 35 and 40mm OBJ scopes. At that level I'll take the IOR's over even USO and Swaro purely for image clarity and low light target acquisition.

I guess I am a little hesitant about the IOR as I never really heard of them prior to this site. I would like to get my hands on one to look at.

I discovered thus morning that my Bunn Coffee pot is made with Schott Glass! No wonder they want so much money for one of their pots.
