I agree completely with the sentiment. However, if you haven't already you might want to measure those clicks. I recently picked up one of these (though a non-FFP, non-ill version) and the turrets say 1/2 MOA on them. But they actually measure 1/8 Mil per click. It's close enough most probably wouldn't notice (.45" vs .52" at 100 yds movement per click) but when you add a bunch of them up to shoot at long range it does add up.

In any case, I thought I'd let you know that my version of that scope, although it says one thing on the knob, what it really is does match the reticle. Though I'd rather have 1/10 Mil instead of 1/8 Mil as it makes the math easier...It all works out fine as long as you know what it is.

Like Leopold M1's are 1/4 MOA per click, M3 are 1 MOA, M2 are 1/2 MOA, many companies have different types of knobs they offer. The scope I was talking about is the 2.5-10 IOR, and don't fret as it's only a ~$650 scope and wouldn't be my first choice for P-dogs. All the ones in the price range you're suggesting are 1/4 MOA IIRC, excepting the yet to be seen .1 Mil 3-18.
