How come the wide angle view

never caught on to some of the higher end scope manufacturers? I remember a few years back I looked through what I BELIEVE was a Tasco exp or a simmons Aetec, and all I could say was this panoramic/wide view is fantastic. I think it would be great to have a wideview rather than a round view on a riflescope. It would allow the scope to be mounted lower and with technology now the zoom ranges would be awesome.
