Thanks Bruce you saved me lots of time and money. Kept my rings and went with a regular base (no moa) and the gun zeros with 46 moa to spare yet I can still get a full circle on low power.

Depending on what YOU call "long range" you can easily read on EGW's website that if you arent shooting any further than 600 yards..you dont even NEED a rail..!!

No. It appears to be the rifle. The barrel is canted up 10-20 MOA in the receiver. Surprising the factory gunsmith didn't catch it.

id defintally think the egw was wrong before the vortex

GEE, it wasn't the PST that was giving you the problem. Surprise surprise.

This is how it is done and will probably never buy another factory hunting rifle:

This is actually a problem with the PST not the rail, the rail combined with the tube pointing up put the scope into a place it does not like to go, something to keep in mind with a PST!! Question on the Vortex Viper PST
