Got a Model 70 7mm WSM need a new scope. What's a good BDC scope for under $400?

Howdy all, im new here, but not to forums. Im on F150online. Anyway, let's get down to business. I got a Winchester model 70 for a steal. Heck it even came with half a box of shells! (allegidly had only 10 rounds through it when i got it) But im looking for a 50 or 60 power scope with BDC for under $400. Here's a picture of the gun!

A 50 or 60 power scope ? MARCH scopes makes a type of scope that zooms up to 80x for under $3500 bucks. Hey 1997 your either a newbie or a typo occurred in your post. 50 or 60 power scopes are for spotting scopes. For you rifle in your price range I'd get a 2x10 or a 3x9 or 4x16 . Look at SWFA or a slew of other Rifle scope distributors. Furthermore what's wrong with the scope its pictured with ?

i cant get it to hold center. took 3 shots at 20 yards and had 3 totally different impact points. (no i dont believe flinch was a factor i had a rest and know trigger pull.) I finally got fed up with it when i started missing the paper all together. it is no longer on the gun. 3500 is a little steep! im only a 16 year old kid. Budget hunter! Fyi this isnt my first gun. my personal collection is numerically around my age... My first high power was a remington 770 in .243. good gun, but i could have done better. My most recent long shot with it was about 500 yards. it has the original bushnell 3-9x40. Scopes are new to me sizewise. all i have ever had were 3-9x40's anyway. id like a little more power.

Ok log on to www.SWFA.com and search the scopes. Weaver,Bushnell,Burris,Sightron,and a bunch of other brands have variable scopes like what you want. Plenty of stuff to learn. A good 4.5x14x40mm would be a great start. Just check them all out.

Before you buy let us know which one your looking at. Know this "you get what you pay for" ! There are 4.5x14 power scopes for a $150 bucks and others of same power for a $1,000 bucks .You don't want to buy junk . So let us know what your looking at.

I agree,when you look at SWFA click on the Sightron button and you will find a close out sale. You can buy a Sll 3.5x10x42 Big Sky for 199.95 after a $100 rebate. You will be hard pressed to buy a better scope for this money. I own a Big Sky in 3x9x42 and for the money it is outstanding. I payed almost $400 for my scope and I don't think I go ripped off.
