The finer mildot

Hi,
I was thinking about thickness of Bushnell mil dot scope.
The Legend mildot is coarse. Now I would know if the Bushnell elite 4200 have the finer mildot of Elite series, or the 3200 mildot is the same thickness of the 4200 one.
Thank you

Re: The finer mildot

Mil Dot reticles should all be standard, no matter what. Otherwise mass confusion.

A mil dot should subtend (cover) 0.2mils.

A mil should always be 3.6" @ 100yds.

All mil dot reticles should be in first focal plane (my opinion) keeping everything constent.

Re: The finer mildot

Yea, that would make things easier if you did not have to worry about your power setting when ranging or holding over.
For my eyes, a prarie dog at 800 yards requires more than 10x. My Tasco Custom is calibrated at 10x, so I found another calibration point near 20x where I can use half readings. So now, I have 2 sets of range and drop charts to tape to my stock. One for 10x and another for 20x. Confusing, yes, but it works.

Re: The finer mildot

Yes, its fine to have two mildot settings!!!
But my problem is the cross hair whidt. In the legend is thicker then I would see. So I am planning to buy another bushnell mil dot, But the elite mild dot is finer then the Elite?
I don't know this...
