It seems my LRF works better west of the Mississippi.
Around here I have to use a tripod to get 1K but it is doable.
I"ve found that very fresh batteries help alot.
There have been times that I can get 1300+ w/a rest on a regular basis before sun up and after sun down.
I've very satisfied with the Leica 1200 Scan.
