compact scope for compact rifle

what scope should I buy to put on a ruger compact 7mm08, i want something light & compact and with enough power to shoot out to 400m, I will need to make windage & elevation adjustments in the feild so the turrets need to be easily fideld. looking to spend around $600us
who makes the best wee scope for me?

Check out Burris. I think it's the fullfield tactical model. The small one is a 2-7 with target knobs. It looks like the perfect scope for a compact rifle.
