Dumb question time. . . A friend of mine is trying to help his son get set up for long range hunting and shooting.
He has a nice sub-MOA rifle but the scope (Leupold VX-II AO) doesn't have finger adjustable turrets for dialing up.
He (dad) is sending in a VX-III to have CDS turrets put on but I was thinking (Dangerous) could a guy change the VX-III turrets (finger adjustable and movable zero indicator) with the VX-II turrets at home before sending the VX-III in.
I am certain the answer is no but I thought I would see if anyone has successfully made a change at home.

Re: Can you change turrets on Leupold scopes at home?
send it to Leupold custom shop. I have sent them 2 or 3 scopes had turrets changed diffrent recticules installed you name it. Their custom site lays out all sorts of options. Including custom BDC dial and recticulas.
