Bushnell Elite 6500 Scopes?

I have been working my way thru various threads here that have comments regarding the Bushnell 6500 scopes. I have found the 2.5-16x44 MD scope to be of particular interest.

I am looking for an explaination of the adjustments being push - pull. What does that mean?

Maybe I should have asked this question in the newbie forum instead...?

Thanks!

Hey man I just bought that Bushnell elite 6500 2.5x16x50MM I don't know what your talking about? But I will say that scope is "Bad to the Bone" I'm seriously thinking of buying another one. Love the optics ,cross hairs are great. I bagged me a nice 34lb coyote with that scope. Thumbs up on the 6500s.

He means it doesn't have tactical turrets and they "look" like regular turret caps screw on and off. Bushnell calls them "push-pull". I wondered about that myself and you having one in your home...hopefully you can answer so we understand.

To access the turrets, do you simple pull them out, do your come-ups and push it back in when done?

Thumbs up Ok I see what you mean.

You unscrew caps like any non Tactical scope. Adjust turrets like any other scope when you sure that's where you want it. You pull the knobs and they will spin free and then turn them to the "zero"index and push them back in place to "Set" them. Then you screw the caps back that you had to unscrew and remove to gain access to turrets.Cool as beans. These scope can focus down to less then 10 yards. I love it but I which we had more reticle selection.

So the push-pull refers to returning them back to zero, Thanks for the explanation. Now here's hoping the thread starter checks back in to see this

IW,
Thanks for the explaination. That just pushed me over the edge, I'm ordering 2 of the 2.5-16x40 MD scopes.
Thanks again,
Don
