Bushnell Elite 4200 Ballistic Reticle

Does anyone have experience with this reticle? I have found a 3x9x40 at a good price with the ballistic reticle but don't know anything about it.

Didn't know Bushnell had such a thing. Probably like Nikon, Lupy, Vortex, etc.

I could be mistaken on the model. The website I was looking at had the 4200 with that reticle.

Re: Bushnell Elite 4200 Ballistic Reticle

In the '05 catalog (misplaced the '08), they have a TRX Ballistic reticle and their "Ballistic reticle" also. They give a little info on the TRX (3 MOA spacing vertically), but that's all. Sounds like a good system as they show 4 line stadia for a total of 12 MOA--plenty for intermediate-range shooting.

I'd bet that the Ballistic reticle is the same, but there's only 2 ways to find out--either call the company and see if they know the subtensions or measure them yourself with a ruler of some sort set up at either 50 or 100 yds. (50 yds. should be doubled for calculations to be easier). Remember to measure windage too for each stadia line, as ballistic reticles are set up to be "generic", and to get them more accurate they need to be matched to the trajectory of your particular load, vertically and horizontally.
