Burris xtreme tactical rings- A good choice ??

Howdy,

Can anyone tell me if these 30 mm rings would be a good buy for a 338 edge. Should I look for something else ??

Many thanks

They work fine on a 7AM with 200grain bullets and a brake. I would just be sure your base(s) is square. The extra width and extra clamping of the rings would play havoc with a scope tube if the bases were mis-aligned as is common with factory recievers and two piece bases. Otherwise you will have a lot of lapping to do.

I had a set that held a scope above both a .223 and .308. I was very pleased with their quality and performance. I had no negative issues whatsoever.

I'd buy a set again when the time comes.

Thanks again guys. I think they look a good product for their cost ? They are going on a custom tappered picatinny rail. Hopefully my smith wil get 'em square !

Thanks again
