For me and what I would recomend is the NPR-2 reticle. The newer NPR-1 reticle has gained a good following as well. Their are others that work well, it is a matter of personal preference

for a coues Hunt , they are usally shot at long range.

Which reticle is best is subject to your hunting style and loads. What kind of caliber and loads are you shooting? What is your max range? What will your zero be? Asking yourself these questions and doing a little math on each reticle will help you decide which one is right for you. Mil-dot's work great with 308 type calibers and the NP-R2 works great with the super mags.
