bases, rings

I have just purchased a win mdl 70 coyote in 300 wsm I also just found a nikon buckmasters 4-12x50 scope, its the old style with the adjustment out front NIB for 179
anyway... I'm not comfortable shooting over 500 yds and probably will never shoot at 1000 so elevation is not a factor therefore I'm thinking 2pc leupold bases and leupold rings but what height??? can anyone help with this please??? and am I doing the right thing with the leupold 2pc???
