base question

are bases the same for 1 inch and 30mm. i need a tapered base like a nightforce.i think they say it's for a 30mm.they also say it will fit all weaver rings.it sounds like the base is the same but i need somebody to set me straight on this. i will check when i get back to the safe,thasnks,keith

Yes. Pretty much all Weaver rings will fit all Weaver rails, Picatinny rails, etc. I did have a problem w/ IIRC some Tasco rings on Weaver bases, but that was a few years ago. The stuff like you are talking about should have no problems.
