The Maria vs Rosie comparision is not only hysterical but also factual. Barska really does make a cheap product quality-wise. Image quality is dreadful when using the higher magnification and resolution it horrible at pretty much any power. Sure, there are lots of shooters who don't see a need for quality glass atop their rifle. The problem I have with Barska is that there are some scope brands in the budget price point that are of acceptable quality. I'm talking Mueller, Bushnell Elite 3200, Burris Fullfield II, Nikon Buckmasters, SWFA's Super Sniper, etc. All these scopes feature decent glass, accurate tracking, quality construction, and an excellent warranty. Why waste money on a Barska when there are others that are better AND more reliable???
I've seen two Barska scopes literally come to pieces at my local range. One was mounted atop a 30/06 and it lasted less than 10 rds before the internals were shook (permanantly) out of focus. Another shooter on the line using a new Barska and came over to me & another shooter on the firing line to ask use to look through his scope. He couldn't get it zeroed and didn't know why. He fired a shot and adjusted what should have been 3" to the right. A follow up shot showed a point of impact 1" right. Basically, after 5-6 additional shots and inspection of the scope mount & screws, we determined that the internal adjustments were either calibrated by Ray Charles or were defective from the factory...
