Any Weavr Repair Options

Any one aware of any repair options?

Me thinks my Hallowed Weaver Tactical is going south.

Its the windage adjustment that's getting funky. Was checking 200 yd zero and all of a sudden started completely missing the back stop. There ain't no way that a 225 NAB is dusting at 3200.

Retical movement stopped after 4 moa out from zero on the windage turret.

I hate for this to happen with no recourse. I'd also not want to even do the ebay thing and stick someone else with it. (though I think that is what happened to me.)

If worse comes to worse I'll put it on a lighter recoiling rifle but once things start to go they very seldom fix themselves.:( Or I may take a pipe wrench to it.

I'd do the old 'sniper' shot with it. You know the one from the movie, where he shoots down the other snipers scope. Make sure you get a video for us though.

Bill Ackerman was manager of the Weaver El Paso plant; now has his own repair service. No web site. Call him at 505-589-3833.

False Alarm - Dumb Driver Syndrom

Gene, thanks for that contact However..........

The scope isn't the problem. Its the two bit Leuy mounts and burris rings.

Its the mount with the 2 windage screws.

Things held up really well as long as I was shooting 300 SMKs @ 2730.

However, 225 NABs at 32+ have made a difference.

I guess I'll have to go with double key mounts or upgrade to badger/near or other sturdy mounts.

Thanks for the interest.

Now I'm not depressed........ Just a little wiser........
