True, 'tho it will range well beyond 1400 yards and it will still give distance and angle without a ballistic profile entered as I understood the OP to ask for.

I know, i was just letting the op know that it gives ballistic compensation out to 1400 yards.

Because you didn't get the TBR model.

The "DNA" designation has nothing to do with angle compensation. The TBR models have angle comp.

Re: Another Range Finder Question???

I DID get the TBR model, you can only use angle compensation if you choose a ballistic match which it uses very basic generic ones which dont match .........like my 257 weatherby 80gr ttsx moving 3800 fps

Do you need it need to match your ballistics to give you a true horizontal distance? In other words, do you only need the correct horizontal distance and do the rest of the calculations yourself?

Or were you hopeful of it having an exact match so that it gave you your scope adjustments without using anything else?

I don't own the rangefinder you are using, others that are similiar, just trying to understand the problem.

As an example, my rangefinder doesn't have a ballistic profile that fits my ballistics either. However, when I chose one it will give me the angle of the shot. Which I then use as an input into my ballistics program.
