Your Longest Kill on Game

I've had a pretty good week on groundhogs. I got my 700 sendero rebarreled by hart & son in 6.5-284 and did the break in thing and worked up some loads with the 140 bergers. Shot a fantastic .30 group at 300 yards and shot my data to 1000 yards and printed a drop chart. Next night , my son and I went hunting groundhogs. The first one we found was at 1181 yards setting on his mound of dirt. I checked the chart and dialed on 95 clicks on the Huskamaw and let her rip. Head shot!! Last night ,I got another one on the same hole, This one was 1175 yards. This morning, got one at 996 and a baby one at 850. This is the best shooting gun I've ever had!!

Congrats! That is some OUTSTANDING shooting. Must have been fairly calm conditions?.......Rich

the first was dead calm, the others were 2-3 minutes.

What contour barrel do you have?

It is the same as the senderobarrel that was on the gun before. It is a heavy barrel but I don't know what No. I'll take a picture and post it tomorrow.

I' m familiar with the Sendero barrel. I think they crown around .800".....Rich
