Man, I had one of the best roasts I ever ate at a friends house in Wy. It was a buffalo he shot there somewhere. I could not believe how tender and great it was. They must vary a little.

I had some buffalo steaks at our shrine club some time ago and they were good. What someone told me was the guy just got these in, trucked in from the west probably had something to do with it. I dont know anything about buffalo but this animal had not one drop of fat on it either. I had a local guy farmer butcher it for us that i always buy 1/2 of beef every year from. Hanging beside a cow it looked like a squirrel.The berger was awsome very lean. I tried a head shot first not to ruin meat than went with 2 in the shoulder it was only 100 yards.

Because of traveling across country during the fall to assist my ailing parents we were not able to use the tags. I did very little hunting this fall.
