Re: Who\'s Gearing up for Colorado?
Dave King,
I will waive to you as I pass you on the highway going the other way. I am heading to Maryland (Dorchester County) to go Sika Deer hunting during their early muzzleloader season (Oct 16-18). We have about 1800 acrea that borders the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge. I am meeting up with my father and two younger brothers.

Re: Who\'s Gearing up for Colorado?
Dave, on your way down I-25 past Pueblo stop in and I'll buy you guys lunch or whatever. Just take the Abriendo exit, get in the right lane, and go until the road T's into a circle. My house is the white one that you'd drive right into if you didn't turn at the T. You can see it from way down Abriendo, 2 minutes from the interstate. Man oh man, i'd love to talk long-range with you and friends. Got a bighorn i took with my XP i'd like to show you as well. Give me a call @ 719-542-5725, or e-mail me.
P.S. Love to talk about crabbin' on the bay, and my old stomping grounds around Glen Burnie. Or maybe chuck shooting in Western MD.

I believe I may try to hook up...I'm a high-speed type traveler and I know I'm going to be hauling ass to get to camp on Friday evening. I'll give it a try one way or the other.

Re: Who\'s Gearing up for Colorado?
REMEMBER PICTURES YOU GUYS, I WANNA SEE LOTS OF PICTURES POSTED HERE AFTER THE SEASON. The picture postings from last year were great. Lets make this the best year yet for pictures. Possible topics are: your rifle system, the view from your shooting spot, any game animals you harvest, ect... These pictures are gonna help those of us who can't make it this year. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Re: Who\'s Gearing up for Colorado?
Making final prep for the trip... I leave Maryland (15 Oct 2003) Wednesday morning heading west on US70.
Decided to take the 308 Win and 6.5 x 284... loaded some 165 Ballistic Tips for the 308 and some 140 GameKings for the 6.5 x 284... I'll take along a few match loads too just in case I catch too much grief about using poorly selected hunting bullets.
Camping for 3 days at just under 10,000 ft (one elevation line under 10,000 so about 9,800ft) gonna sleep in the back of the truck or in a small two-man tent depending on conditions. We'll send the next three days staying in a motel and hunting a different area then off for a short visit and head back to home.
