If we don't monitor ourselves on this site it will turn into the same as another site that I no longer even open up anymore because of all the negative personal attacks. We as a group can't expect the site owners/administrators to control each and every post/response/topic etc.. or they get accused of censoring.

We have lost a number of very knowledgeable people over the years because they believe in what they are doing and are getting blasted for those thoughts/comments. Never once have I seen these attacks proven the individual was not accurate in their presentation but go at them personnnally.

I could care less if you run a ford/chevy or dodge but don't tell me I'm a dumb Chit or after a while I'll just take my ball and glove and go play on a different playground..

Society has changed in that communication is now almost instantaneous - look what is happening down in Miami with the Dolphins and two multi-millionaire ball players where one finally said I can't take it anymore. SAD - welcome to the 21st century.
Agreed. It's the lack of consequences for being a rude ass. People tend to treat each other much better and more politely face to face because there, the potential for consequences is real.

Mouth off and be an ass to someone undeservedly on the net and at most you might get booted off of a given site rather than getting fed your teeth.

Re: Where is Broz?

Guys, please let me clarify. I have no intensions of leaving completely at this time. I am just tired of the BS that has become common here. So like I said I decided to give it a rest. Meanwhile, I am still hunting hard, almost daily, shooting ELR, and I have found a new place to read and post. I do not feel I should post the name of the new site in respect to Len. He has been good to all of us and this is his site.

I would also like to offer this if I may. The majority of us on any forum seek solid advice and reports. I urge you as a group to ask questions, request supporting data, and get to the bottom of any info before you let it weigh in on your decisions. There is just as much unsupported BS being posted as there is good solid advice. Weed through it and call out the BSer's by asking for proof. This can be done in a polite way. There is a movement here on this site to not question anyone's reported results. To me that is just crazy. I guess it is just another form of the way things are going these days where whatever someone does is ok and the days of being responsible for ones actions fall farther into the muck. I didn't grow up that way and I have trouble with it. If I see posted BS I will ask for documentation. I feel if we don't police the content of these forums we may as well read comic books. And that is exactly what the posted information will become if not questioned. I support all my posts with recorded hard facts. So maybe you can understand why I may not care to be part of something other than factual info. or hang in a place where I will be crucified for asking for proof.

Also I want to thank all of you for the kind words and support in this thread as well as all the guys and gals that PMed me with the same. It does mean a lot to me to know that I have helped a few. I like to give back what I can as I too have received my share of help and advice here over the years. We all need help at times and this is what it is all about.

Gotta go. First light is soon here and I am taking my wife to try and get a bull I have been watching for a few days. It will be here first bull if we have some luck.

Good hunting to you all.

Jeff

Yet, there's still the 99.9% of us that really appreciate your unbiased, hands on, experience. Don't let a few people ruin the wealth of data that you've compiled and shared. There's alot of us that have learned a lot, and have enjoyed the results from your personal hunting, shooting, and hand loading, experiences.

Everybody has certain members on this forum that when they see their name, even though they don't know them, they make it a point to read. I'll bet, Broz........you are right up there on alot of people's list.

Re: Where is Broz?

It would be a shame to lose Jeff's knowledge on this forum. Like others have stated, great information with evidence to back it and an uncanny willingness to share it with anybody and everybody. Hope to see you back Jeff

Re: Where is Broz?

I don't post much on this forum but I do read to gain knowledge. I have noticed several members on here that seem to be light years ahead of most in regards to long range shooting. I'm in the process of researching everything I need to do and purchase to shoot extended long range. These individuals bring knowledge to the table I will base my decisions upon. I would like to thank each one of them for their input because I know they will shorten my learning curve. Thank you Len for your website and Broz and many others for posting your knowledge. Now if someone wants to PM me the absolute best durable, long range rifle setup I'd appreciate it and have a good day!
