it's long enough to shoot the 180's well and I wouldn't use any heavier than that.
if memory serves me correctly I think most reamers for 180's are .188

Re: What would you build?
Is that with the bottom of the shank below the neck/shoulder junction?

I honestly don't know (I should) with .188 or a .190 marked on the reamer you have about .200 bearing serface left in the neck when you jam seat a 180 berger.

Re: What would you build?
My Caliber choice is hard I chose the .284 but would be almost just as happy with a
7SAUM or 7WSM or 300WSM
I just liked the shootability and the barrel life of the .284 a pinch more.

What would you want?
Action?
Stock/Stocks?
Barrel?
Trigger?
Rings/Mounts?
Scope?
and
Chamber?
Just curious what everyone thinks

I'm working my way to a ELR rifle, Raptor action from Kirby, Manners MCS-T5A, HS Precision DBM, Brux med Palma at 30in with Muscle Brake.
Jewel trigger, Nightforce rings, Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 with NP-R1 and chambered up in 338 Norma Mag set up for 300gr Berger.
Not building it for shooting close so I better through in a Vectronix range finder
