what size bipod

What size bipod do you recommend for western mule deer and antelope hunts? They only one I have used is 6"-9" for woodchucks. I was thinking this would work for prone then maybe also use a bog pod for seated shots. A buddy told me he uses the next size up, like 9"-11" area.

Re: what size bipod

I have found the best luck with the 9-13" in most hunting situations. Especially on antelope where tall grass, and flat ground will make a 6-9" almost useless.

For seated shots you would want a 23-27". I have shot for years with a Harris at 25" and love the stability but I do prefer the longer version closer to 27". Depends on your size and stature. I am not a big guy at 5'10" and can make either work.
