What powder for 105 gr bullets in 243 win?

My Savage 12 LRP DBM 243 win has a 26 inch barrel and a 9.25 twist so it should stabalize the 105 berger or amax. I know that 4350 or 4831 have been good powders for the 243. But what about the heavier bullets. Is H1000 or even Retumbo worth a shot. What powder do you guys like for the heavier bullets? Also do you guys have any seating depth advice? I will be using Lapua brass and I'm leaning towards cci br2 primers to try out first. Thanks for the help.

IMR/H4350, IMR/H4831/sc, will all be slow enough for the heavier bullets. If you want to stoke them up, then try some RL17. You have to be careful with the RL17. It is very temp sensitive. I just checked on reloadersnest.com and found that RL22 and 25 seem to produce some pretty good speeds. I wouldn't go much slower then H1000. You'll run out of capacity before you find pressure problems.

i can not find it now. BTW uses H-1000 for 3050 out of an 8 twist krieger. i would try 210m and 215gm and h-1000. let us know what you get.

I had good luck with Rel 25 with the 105 gr. Amax.

I got excellent velocity but poor accuracy with RL-22 with 95 gr pills. I get decent accuracy but only moderate velocity with RL-19. I will likely try some IMR 4350 soon to see if I can find a powder that gives me both.

I've never had problems with RL17 and temp sensitivity and I use it extensively in many calibers. In fact, it really shines in the 243 with the heavier bullets. My hunting load is a 95 grain SST on top of 42.0 grains of RL17. There should be no issue running 100's and 105's.
