Thompson Long Range Shooting Course?

Has anyone attended the Thompson Long Range Course? I've heard indirectly of one happy student from my area. His "system" is a 30-378 with a BDC reticle from Premier. That's got to be one flat shooting, hard hitting round. If anyone has any info about his course, I'd be interested to hear what you think. Thanks.

Here's a link to his site:

Seems an awful lot for that course. I would look into Shawns Course for about a quarter the cost

Re: Thompson Long Range Shooting Course?

I'm located in North Georgia where we have to cut down trees just to see two hundred yards. Long distance here is anything over 100yds. It's a big change to go from only being able to see 100 yds to being expected to make a clean shot on an animal at 400 yds. I'm fortunate in that I get to go out west and to Africa to hunt, but I feel like I'm not a good shot much past 300yds. In fact the longest shot I've ever made was a baboon at 300 yds. I would like to get some long range experience so that when I'm on a sheep hunt and the closest I can get is 600 yds, I don't have to pass on the shot and go home empty handed. I've gotten a lot of good basic info from this board, but there is no subsitute for actually doing the shooting.
