Re: Spent a week in Idaho chasing mulies

I am glad somebody got some deer. Other than the little baby I never ever got a decent chance. The 160 AB is a nice bullet for deer.

Great pictures.

Re: Spent a week in Idaho chasing mulies

SS,

Great buck and hunt. I always say you prepare for long range shots but you shoot them where they show up at!!! Not that nearly 500 yards is not a good poke!!

Beautiful country. I hope I can decrease the Idaho deer population here in a few weeks as well!!! Again with another 7mm AM.

The 7mm AM has already raised some dust in Idaho, hope I can add to it!!

Great buck!!

SS7MM,

Outstanding job. The was a nice buck too. Hopefully this weekend I will get a crack at something like that as well.

Not sure if you went through Boise or not but it would have been nice to meet you if you did. I will probably be spending more time over in Tri-Cities this weekend, so you would like to get together and shoot some lead let me know.

buffalobob:

We saw about 250-300 deer give or take a few and filled 7 of 7 tags. We never really got into the big deer as they had just disappeared from the higher areas where they normally hang out. Don't know if the drifted and crusted snow caused them to move or what. 3 of the deer were taken with Accubonds and they performed perfectly.

Kirby:

You guys will be way farther north looking for big whitetails. We saw a few whitetails down in the lowest fields but not too many. At 8000'-9500' there aren't many whitetails hanging out.

I'm sure there will be a nice big whitetail stirring up some dust when he falls for you and Shawn.
