Some long range .243 shoot'in...1000 yards

I love long range shooting...it is one of my passions. Here is a short video of some 1000 yard shooting using my Surgeon Scalpel in .243.

I just made up a 14" x 23" steel target and plan on shooting this rifle out to 1200-1400 very soon.....just working on some faster loads.

Thank you. It is a 1:8 twist Krieger and is 25" long. With my current load (40.3 gr. of H4350) I get right at 3000 fps with the 107 SMK's.

I am currently working on loads using RL-17. So far 42.0 gr. looks good and is giving me just under 3200 fps. with no pressure signs. I plan to hit the range and finish load work...just play'in with seating depth for the final stage.

If I can get this load dialed in it should supersonic to 1450 yards according to JBM.
