Smartphone ballistic apps

So I'm gonna join the craze and get a smartphone next spring. My wife has been trying to lure me over to that side, a buddy of mine who is a super-techy has showed me all sorts of cool stuff it can do (I mean heck his phone is a better camera than my actual camera).

Anyway what is regarded as the cats nuts for ballistic apps?

Online I really like the Best of The West True BC calculator, and I printed all that info out so I have it hard copy for 2 rifles. But in the field as conditions change I'd like to have it in hand. I figure if I'm gonna carry a mini-super computer I night as well see what I can actually do with it.

Also is there an app that will automatically take temp/humidity/elev into account on its own so I don't have to enter it?

Or am I asking too dang much from a phone?

Shooter and Strelok. Shooter is $10, Strelok is free. Both are good, they give similar results. I like Shooter.

Balistic AE for iPhone is what I have and it has everything I think anyone would need. Think I give $19.99 4 or 5 years ago for it, may be more now I don't know. It has target speed and wind speed along with tons of other stuff.

Re: Smartphone ballistic apps

I would go with Shooter. In the last update for Ballistic AE screwed it all up for me. It now only gives whole numbers in moa. My rifle shoots 5.5 moa for 500 yards now ballistic just says 5 until i reach a distance to go up one whole moa. Which is ok for 500 yards but at 1000 or farther you really need the tenths in my opinion. For mils it is the same, it will set o mil to 500, then 1 mil from 500 to 900 yards. I dont know maybe the update screwed up some of my settings. Anyway I bought Shooter and I like it more anyway.
