Savage 112 FVSS 7MM STW what are the guns distant limits

I am awaiting my New/Unfired pre-accutrigger Savage in a 26" SS Varmint taper barrel.
I will build a 257 STW as a switch barrel gun as well, but I was curious if this original package would be suitable for up to elk and moose as well as a long range deer and pig gun.

I do not know much, yet, about .284 ballistics, but am trying to gather all information that I can attain.

I hand load my 257 Roberts and .270 Win and will acquire the dies for the 7MM STW as soon as I fire form some factory Remington brass to my action. There is information about this gun on the web but not many comments as to people actually hunting with the caliber.

7mm stw with a 160gr bullet has enough velocity and energy to effectivly expand it's bullet to around 750 yrds (2000fps and 2000ft/lb of energy)It is deadly out to 1000 yrds on smaller game though. Also shot placement has a huge impact on a weapons effective range.
