Sako M995 stock

Does anyone other than McMillian make stock for this model. I checked out a few places Feenix gave me but no luck. Its almost like this model never existed. I'm almost afraid to keep this gun, it something breaks on it I'm probably SOL.

Did you check out manners stocks? I had the same problem and ended up just going with the mcmillan A5 but those were the only two that i had found. The bottom metal issue really sucks too the only place i found was mcmillan.

Here's what I got from MPI today ...

    Hi,
There is no replacement stock made for the 995 Sako
If you send the old plastic stock to us we can cut the inletting out of it and put into one of our fiberglass stocks and glass bed it to your rifle.
You would need to send the rifle to us.
We would also recommend changing the recoil lug to one that will prevent future stock problems.
We can put it in any of our stock styles and glass bed it and finish it for you.
We have made stocks for many of those actions because the factory stocks break quite often

    Hi again,
The cost to restock will be $850
If you want a new recoil lug installed it will be another $200
It's quite a bit of work, but we've done lots of them with great success.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

$850 for a stock and another $200 for a recoil lug, no thanks, if I'm gonna spend that kind of money I'll just buy a new rifle.

Now you understand why I appropriately titled my original post as ...

    McMillan Stock - $$$ ouch ! $$$

Luckily, mine is in pretty good shape.

Not for sure but I would be willing to bet if you contact Chad Dixon of longriflesinc he could take your action and an uninletted stock and build one for you no problem. He builds a 3d computer model of all the actions and cnc inlets the stocks, not to mention one of the best bedding jobs in the business. If interested just google his business and give him a call. He is always more then happy to discuss stuff with people.
