This would be for my 3rd trip for Africa Plainsgame...Springbok, Blesbok etc. (the medium sized antelope).
I'm thinking about the Sako 85 Finnlight, 25-06 Rem. I do handload and like the Barnes Bullet (so do most of the South Africa PH's) but I'd be interested in any other opinoins.
Thanks to All!

Call me crazy but for what you are looking for I'd go with that rifle in a .260 Rem, or a Winchester Mod 70 in a lightweight "classic".
If you like the WSM calibers you should also look at the winchester coyote lite and outback models.
Between the .260 and 25-06 though hands down the .260 would be the way to go. Much better choices of high quality, high BC hunting bullets and even some outstanding custom/factory ammo out there to be had.
This is from my AR-260 at 300yds. There are twenty rounds through those holes.
