Ruger Predator accuracy?

Hey all! So I just looked at a ruger predator in a 6.5 creedmoor. Im looking for a gun that will shoot 1/2 moa or under. Has anyone ever used this rifle? The only thing that worries me about the ruger is accuracy. I haven't heard a whole lot of good things about ruger when it comes to accuracy. Can some one give me some help on this gun? Big Sky has told me that they are real shooters. I was going to build a remmy 700 but I don't have the $ for that. :(

I have had several rugers and they all shot fine. The only rifle that never shot real well is my mini 14. 1 MOA is the best it would do.

Savage Predator Max, 111, or a model 116 all work and have the right stuff for a budget minded shooter. My buddy has a 12 LRP but it is too heavy for my liking, nice rifle though.

220 swifts, one shot .125 to .25, the other .5
280 was .5
243 was .3 to .5 depending on day. Light barrel and finicky.

Re: Ruger Predator accuracy?

I have 2 older Ruger 77's (old skeleton stock/stainless rifles) that will both put 3 in 1 ragged cloverleaf with my reloads.

However, reading and listening to other people's experiences over the years this hasn't been a common thing, so I might have just gotten 2 good ones.

However, I have only owned 1 rifle that I couldn't get to shoot no matter what...And that was my recently purchased R700 in .338 WinMag. It's a mid-to-late 90's rifle (serial dated), so I'm pretty sure it's just been shot alot, and/or, the harmonics of the big .338 bullets are too much for the little 24" sporter barrel (which is what I'm leaning towards), because it will shoot the cold bore shot frickin dead-nutz...But shots 2 and 3 are kinda scattered and random. It'll shoot 1 to 1 MOA, which will still kill a deer at 300 yards, but I am not really a fan of the caliber, so it's getting converted Friday to a 7mm RemMag, with the new barrel I just bought.

My dad has a old m77 in a 7mmRm. 20 year old rifle with the same description of those rifles you mentioned. We haven't tried to work up a load for it Because neither one of us really likes to shoot it! Kicks like a mule and it hurts to shoot it lol! But I have tried factory ammo and I get 1- 1 1/2.
