thanks

I would really like to know what loads are giving you these speeds. Unless you're running a 28" barrel.

Re: Question on bullet weight for hunting

Shoulda, woulda, coulda.... Why are you asking other people that haven't done any actual ballistic testing, or shot enough game with them so their experiences aren't merely anecdotal, for their opinions?

Call Nosler! They're very approachable and ask for one of the bullet technicians and ask them what the differences, other than the weight, are between those bullets. Then you'll actually know. Those guys LOVE to talk to hunters and will give you an ear full and some excellent recommendations.

Different bullets are designed differently and guessing won't get you much. For instance the 120gr 7mm Ballistic Tip is a lot tougher bullet than the 140gr Ballistic Tip. Sitting at a keyboard and guessing if it is or not won't teach you anything of value. They're sometimes designed for totally different applications.

Once again.... Call Nosler and let us know what they've said.

Bob

Re: Question on bullet weight for hunting

Actually the 120 is a micrograph in toughness and design of the 140 BT's in 7mm.
