Any word out there on when primers may be available again?

They are and have been. It's just they aren't plentiful so you have to do your due dilligence and look for them....online.

My LGS's retail store has various primers on the shelf and powdwer too btw. Not 8 pounders and not 1000 boxes but product nonetheless.

So long as the chest beraters keep abusing their chests (like in the current Travon Martin/George Zimmerman verdict) components will stay hard to get. Fact of life or 'trickle down effect'. It's trickling down...on us.
