Re: Post your rifle pics up!!

Here is Avril and Jenny.

Avril is a 300 RUM switch barrel rifle. One is a 27.25" Lilja bbl 12x and the other is a 28" ABS/Rock 11.25x w/titanium muzzle break. NF 5.5-22x50mm with NF UL rings and 20MOA bases. 700 LA, McMillan HTG stock "steel" bedded, sako style extractor.

Jenny is my sweetheart. 700 SA in 308. 24" 5R 11.25x barrel. McMillan HTG stock glass bedded. Original Leupold Mk 4 fixed 10x with NF UL rings and bases. I have a new Hart 11x barrel on the way for her. This rifle holds a special place in my safe. She has NEVER missed a big game animal that was in the crosshairs. Closest shots have been 25 yards and the farthest was 763. Notable ranges have been 763, 600, 550, 438, 425, 400. Since 2002 she has nailed 17 big game animals.

Long range shooting is a process that ends with a result. Once you start to focus on the result (how bad your last shot was, how big the group is going to be, what your buck will score, what your match score is, what place you are in...) then you loose the capacity to focus on the process.

Re: Post your rifle pics up!!

These are my rifles. From tope to bottom. A Savage Mod 12 Low Profile in 300 WSM custom chamber.

Middle is a custom .308 18" 1:10 Military test barrel never fired. It was originally chambered in 30 Carbine, but had it cut to a 308 comp chamber.

The bottom is a Mark II FV in 22LR. Good shooting little rifle. My son has claimed that as his own.

I tried to download, but the pic wouldn't come up. So follow the link.

Why change to the Ultra when you already have all the Win Mag brass? Just Curious!

longer range mostly, i am teaching my self to shoot long range so doing that with the win mag insted of the ultra is a little easier on the pocket book
