Picatanny Rail and Rings

Is there any trick to installing rings on picatanny rail? Or just put in there and tighten down. Am switching from dual dovetail to the rail for a stronger mounting system (so they say).

Am just wondering if it's that simple or any trick to properly mounting scope and rings on the rail.

Thanks

Re: Picatanny Rail and Rings

No real trick to them.
Place bottom half of rings on rail where you want them and lightly finger snug them. (This allows you to seat scope fully into rings properly) Put scope in rings, level scope and install top of rings, then tighten rings to base. Hope I've explained this clearly.
