Re: New Gun...Shooting Tomorrow!
Thanks guys. I'm light in the wallet myself. This setup was about as pretty inexpensive. I spent $850 on the gun. I wanted it in a LH model so it was an extra $200 for Savage's custom shop to build it. I spent $100 on mount and rings. $229 on the scope. $89 on the bipod. I'm going to have to put an adjustable cheek piece ($55) on it, and I want a rear monopod ($50) also. The grand total $1373 when finished. Not too bad, right?
When I grow up I would like to have Fifty make me a Raptor in .338 Allen mag.

I want pictures when you are done with all the mods. I want to see how you do it and what it looks like, if you don't mind.

Re: New Gun...Shooting Tomorrow!
I'm sure you will enjoy your new Savage,I have a Pre-Accutrigger 110FLP 300WM and like the way it has always shot. I also just ordered another from the Savage Custom Shop, but it is a 25/06. I should get it in 2-3 more weeks.

I hope this pic works. I'll take pics of the gun when it's finished, Tank. I'm starting to reload soon. I've got brass, primers and powder. I was thinking about using 168 or 175 grain SMKs, any opinions? Any other bullet ideas for paper punching? Load, if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for your custom Savage?
