New direction- 338LM project stopped!
I was hell bent on 338LM, but after the clouds that surrounded my head cleared, my mind is a little clearer and I have decided not to go the 338LM route.
The rifle would have cost me $6000Aus, plus then you got to feed it, which the projectiles are over $1 per one. having that much money invested ina rifle and then not shooting the hell out of it due to running costs seems a little silly for myself.
So, I have changed the Stiller TAC338 action to a TAC300. I already have a TAC30 actioned 308 on a AICS. I will go for the AICS again on the TAC300.
Now, the big question.. which caliber with a magnum boltface? The good old reliable 300WM just seems to always be popping its head up! Can anybody change my mind on caliber, and give a good reason behind it?
Maybe a 7mm of some description.
I would like to see this rifle used out past 1000m for fun, ringing metal, and some long range hunting!
