Speaking of Reid, he has 13 or 14 points and hasn't drawn his elk yet.

That;s baaaaaaaaaaaad news. Sorry guys. That's how I feel with Montana's moose draw. 32 years, and nothing, zip, nada, 0. Oh well, I'm almost too old to handle one of em anyway. No, wait, I have a strapping younger son that lives here!!! Bring on the tag!!!

nm draw results for me ....

oryx - unsuccessful
deer - unsuccessful
elk - unsuccessful
antelope - unsuccessful
big horn sheep - unsuccessful

and another year without drawing a tag in my home state.

makes 6 years since i drew a deer tag, and i did get a b.s. unit for elk 2 years ago, but otherwise, 12 years without drawing an elk tag, 12 years and no oryx, and now 3 years without a big horn. (just started) somethings got to be done in this state to at least get preference points.
least i can get an otc elk tag for just 14 miles north of my home in colorado, 250 for a cow... hopefully there are left overs for the unit i hunt in, or a general bull tag for 500.

and i did get a landowner cow tag given to me for nm. this year, so i can at least hunt here, for a change.

second season for co. elk, and looks like i'll pick the 1st or 2nd week of dec. for the nm. cow hunt.
