My new 284 THOR

Well here she is, after many problems (some my fault, some vendors fault) and headaches it is finally in my hands. I got my new rifle today. It is a 284 THOR (338 Norma mag improved necked to .284). 284 JAZZ didn't cut it for me ,so I coined another name. Sorry to whoever came up with "JAZZ".
Anyway, Travis from RBROS RIFLES built it for me. He went way and above the call of duty on this build. So many problems arose and he handled every one of them. I am sure this aged him some with the frusrations that he delt with. Outstanding work Travis. A big THANK YOU goes to him for such a fine job. He truely is a craftsman.
Now to the specs.
Remington action Accurized
Brux 28 inch SS #5 contour with a 1 in 9 twist interupted fluting
PT&G bolt with M-16 extractor
Seekins bottom metal with 3 round mag
Jewell trigger
Manners 90% carbon fiber super lite stock
Defensive Edge .750 Muzzle brake
Taley ring/bases
Huskemaw scope
Harris S bipod
Color coating for the stock and barrel done by Travis,RBROS Rifles
The reamer was built by PT&G, around the Berger 180 VLD. Load devolpment will proceed after hunting season is over and I receive the dies back from Neil Jones for the finishing touches. A thread will come to show the devolpment of this rifle.
Accuracy so far looks promising with the rounds that Travis has sent down the tube with a .390 center to center group in the test target that he sent with the rifle.

Re: My new 284 THOR

What an awesome rig! Love that "THOR" name designation ... I'm pretty sure it hammers down with accuracy.

The .264 Thor is on my list of future projects! Keep us posted on how she performs.
