Re: My first mid range kill

From the pix and description, I cannot tell if per title a road kill or not?

Low budget build rem action hart barrel 4.5 x 14 leupold vxl3 7mm 180 target Bergers 69.5 retumbo .

Re: My first mid range kill

Good shootin.

FWIW, in my book 500 is long range, give yourself a pat.
Anything beyond 1/4 mile is LR, anything beyond 1/2 mile is ELR, LOL

Sounds like the way I hunt coyotes. I range spots ahead of time (cause once they're coming to the call they don't usually allow the time/movement of ranging again) and attempt to remember the landmarks and distances. Holdover reticles work great for this kind of hunting. Great fun.

Congratulations!
