My first bullseye
I shot my first cold bore bullseye at 300y today. Army friend shooting with me was amazed. I think my rifle is ready for muley/elk season.
Was using my Win M70 Black Shadow 7mm Rem Mag 26" with new 3-9x40 Tasco World Class Mildot with HSM Trophy Gold 168VLD ammo. Not cheap but I love the stuff.

Re: My first bullseye
Watch out. Next you'll be moving out to 600yds and trying that too. Then when you hit there, you'll spend a couple of grand on new scopes and rifles and try for 1000yds... .
Congrats.

Dirty. I never shoot clean. Well maybe once or twice a year. Just wish I could control my third shot which is consistently 6-9" low. I thot it was rifle or hot ammo, but I think it's me. Im gonna have my friend who is an Army SSGT try it, he shoots pretty good groups and is 30 yrs younger.

Check your float/bedding and if possible borrow a better scope and try it.
If it's consistently your third shot, it's probably not you.
I'm guessing you are shooting what a .308?
