You should post this at accuratereloading.com in the muzzleloader forum. There is a tread on Blk powder substitutes.

I few of the guys will be trilled with the info a couple will have fits. But I belive those will only be happy with a flint lock.

The barrel twist is 1 turn in 14 inches.

Edge, have you tried any of the 209 primer inserts that use a small rifle primer. 209 primers are about the most unconsistant primer made. Here is a link to them if you do not have it already. LINK

I originally used regular Large rifle primers. I have not tried the PRBullet conversion, and if the new 1pc base does not solve my problem then I may give them a try.
