    Re: MOA

"There is no such thing as a stupid question. We all had to start somewhere, knowing very little and relying on others to help us out."

Montour Rifles said it all. Thankfully this is not an experts group but a group of people on and a learning curve. Each person is at a different point on the curve but everybody had to start at the beginning.

It it best to state things explicitly.

1 MOA = 1 Minute Of Angle = 1/60 of a Degree. Using the Sine Rule this "Subtends" 1.047 Inches (26.6mm) at 100 Yards or 1.145 Inches (29.08 mm) at 100 Meters.

In you are not familiar with the Sine rule gimme a shout at brian_sinnott@hotmail.com. Hell, gimme a shout anyway and I will send you more info.

    If 1 MOA = 1.047 Inches (26.6mm) at 100 Yards

    If 1 MOA = 2.094 Inches (53.2mm) at 200 Yards

    Excetera

    Scale up for yardage.

    Regards

    7oo
