Mark 4- How do I use it?

Hey Guys, Ive got a Mark4 with Illuminated TMR reticle.

How ever, ive read a bit about the reticle but cant work out how to use it with out
having to dial for elevation. Apparently you can do this with out a rangefinder just by using the reticle.

Can someone please briefly describe how? I will only be shooting gongs at long range until I figure out how to use
it properly.


Also, does anyone know if/where I can get a 20moa Rail for my T3 lite?

on its highest setting each mark is 1/2 mil, or 1.8" per 100 yards of range, so an 18" gong will be 1 mil or 2 1/2 mil marks at 500 yards, or 1/2 mil at 1k.
get yourself a mil dot master and play with it, the TMR is the same as a mil-dot only graduated into 1/2 mils.

a slide rule calibrated to mils, go to SWFA Accessories Mil-Dot Master and do a search, it'll explain it.

I havent picked up the scope yet, tho the mildot is the same price as the TMR reticle. Which one is better? easier to use? Pro's and Con's?

the TMR is just a mildot with 1/2 mil graduations instead of 1 mil, I believe....which should allow for more precise estimating on range and hold-overs.
