The biggest question I have is do you have an atv? I live in Fairbanks right now but spent a few years down in Wasilla. The best place I found is up in Hatchers pass from the Willow side but you will want an atv.
You can take the upper trail that leads to purchase creek but instead of dropping down into the valley stay up high and make your way east along the ridgeline. That will get you away from recreational offroaders, hunters, and you will still be far away from the Hatchers pass berry pickers. You can shoot as far as you want with some safe hills in the background. I haven't been up there in three years but I doubt much has changed. In the fall you will see a ton of moose hunters with sad faces. They just aren't hunting it correctly.
Last time I was up there I saw three legal moose and four small brown bears. I pulled a 62" moose out of there a couple years before that. If the sun is out you can bring the small guns and take care of the parka squirrels. Let me know if you need more details.
