long action magnum bolt face calibers

Well I've decided to start hunting for a model 700 action to build a 300 RUM. What my question is, can ya'll give me a list of comparable "calibers" in the 700 that will work for 300 RUM action length and bolt face?

Re: long action magnum bolt face calibers

Any long action will work, a compitent gunsmith can open up the bolt face, install a sako extractor, and modify feed rails to accomadate the rum size cartridge. The easiest and possible cheapest way is to start with a rum action though.

If you just want an action send larry scott an e-mail @ greatscott144@yahoo.com
